Wine Cellar Cooling Units 3,500 cu ft and Above

Every unit on this page is rated by its manufacturer to cool a wine cellar of 3,500 cubic feet or more. Ratings in this band run from 3,500 to 5,000 cu ft.

Measure your cellar's length by width by height and compare the result against a unit's rated capacity. Those ratings assume a room that is fully insulated and sealed with a proper vapour barrier. Glass, stone and concrete all raise the cooling load, so a cellar with any of them needs more capacity than its raw volume suggests.

Every system at this size is a split system, which a qualified HVAC-R technician must install. Having one installed by anyone else voids the warranty, and split systems do not carry a separate compressor warranty.
