Split and Ductless Systems
A split system separates the evaporator from the condenser and runs refrigerant lines between them. It goes in when the cellar has no adjacent room to heat, sits in the middle of a finished floor, or when the space next door cannot absorb the exhaust.
- Wall mounted: evaporator on the cellar wall, condenser remote
- Ducted: evaporator hidden, supply and return grilles only
- Ceiling mount: for cellars with no wall to give up
These require a licensed HVAC-R technician, and the manufacturer warranty depends on a signed startup checklist. Budget that labor alongside the unit. Sizing help at (866) 430-2877 or through the calculator.
